Relationships with our Lord

As I sat in church last Sunday waiting for the service to start, I begin to "people watch".

I watched as a beautiful young girl walked in and sat in the row in front of me. She was by herself and she sat there looking forward. The music started and I was quickly moved by the Spirit. I could feel him all around me. Everyone around me stood as we sang praises to our Lord. The girl in front of me just sat there as everyone around her stood. I of course was still enjoying the music, but was also wondering what was going on in her life. Was she sad, or going though something difficult. As the service continued everyone sat as a soloist started singing about the women who was considered unworthy to be around Jesus, much less touch the back of his garment. The girl in front of me jumped to her feet, stretched out her hands towards heaven and sang to the Lord. I was kind of blown away. I caught myself with a ugly cry face, as I licked my lips so that my mouth would close. WOW, I thought, something in that song touched her. During that song it was her and her Lord. She didn't care what anyone around her thought. Everyone has a different relationship with Jesus. That is one of the reasons that I want to know more about him. Sometimes when I talk to him, I feel him sitting right there, and other times I feel that he doesn't hear me. I talk to him day and night. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night. I am soooo tired, but I feel that Jesus wants my company. I beg him to please let me go back to sleep. Can you even imagine how much he desires a relationship with us. We pray to communicate with him and we read his word to hear from him. After the song, the beautiful young girl sat down, opened up her bible and, what I felt her doing,
was laying her problems at the cross. We all face hardships and sadness, that is apart of life until we are called home. Lay your burdens at the cross and keep your eyes on Jesus.
